About Shenandoah Mountain Touring, LLC - when where and how!

Shenandoah Mountain Touring was formed in 1999 by Mike Carpenter, Jamie Keehner and Chris Scott. Currently we promote special events, backcountry mountain bike races, and operate road and mountain bike tours by appointment only in the Geroge Washington National Forest. Our headquarters on Campbell Street in Harrisonburg is not open for business at any time. We just perform our office functions here at random times through out the year. Please make an appointment at least 1 week in advance if you plan to stop through and want to talk trails. We have a very nice rental bike fleet that you can book one week in advance of your intented use. Our fees for rental bikes range from $45 to $75 depending on the bling of the bike. Here is a slideshow of a typical mountain bike tour we lead. We start nice and easy on dirt roads and climb up into the remote backcountry for some quality time on singletrack. We always time time to enjoy a nice lunch with a view if it is a warm day. Swimming holes are always a goal if the group is interested. Come join us for a mountain bike or road ride in the scenic Shenandoah Valley.
